After Prom Party – 2018

Newsflash:  The After Prom Party planners had a successful first meeting at school in September. We chose a TOP SECRET theme!  

We could still use more parent volunteers, so please join us for our next meeting in the Senior Pit on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m.

Who:  Parent volunteers are the foundation of the After Prom party! Be part of the excitement. The Heritage PTO’s After-Prom party committee throws the annual party each year for Heritage juniors and seniors, and their guests.  Students don’t have to go to Prom to attend the After-Prom party.

The After-Prom party helps to keep our children safe on Prom Night.

What: The After Prom party starts when Prom ends! It’s a parent-planned party for 500+ juniors and seniors, and their guests!  The After Prom party is considered one of the highlights of the Heritage school year. Heritage juniors and seniors are welcome at After Prom, whether or not they attend Prom. Info about tickets and the required waiver is here. (2018 info will be posted soon.)

Where:  Heritage High School

When:  May (date to be determined) ; 11:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.

Why:  To provide a fun, safe and alcohol- and drug-free environment for our junior and senior students and their guests on our campus.

How:  Parents! This is a party for 650+ kids! We need everyone to participate, especially freshman and sophomore parents! Traditionally freshman and sophomore parents have taken the lead on the After-Prom party, paying it forward for their students.

•  Volunteer at the event.
•  Donate cash, gift cards, or other prizes, packaged food or beverages for the party.
•  Collect food and other donations from our generous community.
•  Help organize the entertainment.
•  Deck the halls!

 Heritage After Prom is completely run by volunteers and relies on parent- and community donations. Most donations are tax-deductible. Please contact After Prom chair Julie LaFontano, at with donation offers.

Booster Clubs!  We are lucky to have support from our booster club parents who, along with the After-Prom committee, help decorate the halls and transform our school into a magical place for our kids to enjoy.

Students!  2018 After-Prom party details, including a link to the required waiver, will be posted on the Heritage website.  You will need the completed waiver, including one for your guest, in order to buy tickets when they go on sale in the spring.
